Valentine’s Day Dining in Downtown Tazewell

Valentine’s Day happens once a year, so it’s important to make it memorable — especially when it comes to your V-Day dinner plans! Below, we’ve assembled a list of some of Tazewell County’s finest dining institutions with some menu recommendations included, too. 

Fine Dining & Wine-ing

The Front Porch on Main’s extensive dinner menu includes luxurious classics like hand-cut 10oz sous vide beef tenderloin, frenched double-bone duroc pork chop, sous vide flat iron steak, and grilled chicken and shrimp. Or, for a southern comfort twist, check out the fried cornish game hen, catfish and shrimp, country fried steak, and country fried chicken. Many of their dinner options are gluten free, and they feature a new dessert every week!

Across the road from the Historic Crab Orchard Museum, Fisher and Company is a family-run joint specializing in barbeque, sides, and much more. You and your loved one can split some savory signature entrees like BBQ nachos, the large BBQ platter or plate, smokehouse chicken sandwich, or a set of sliders. The gourmet salads 

Plum Creek Winery is Tazewell County’s only winery, and it boasts more than a dozen unique blends. The Virginia-grown grapes are brewed to perfection, and the bottles are readily available at local grocery stores. Know before you go: Visits to the winery are by appointment only.

The Well Coffee Shop’s “Hammer Jammer Brie” toasted croissant packs a flavorful punch with its blackberry jam, ham, and creamy brie cheese. Their housemade chicken salad croissant is also a must.
