Halloween is around the corner, guys and ghouls. We’ve got the scoop on all things spooky taking place in Tazewell County this season. From family-friendly block parties to haunted hayrides, look no further for an amazing autumn and spooktacular Halloween!

Friday, September 16 – Sunday, October 30, 2022

Crab Orchard Corn Maze and Pisgah Pumpkin Patch 
Fridays 5-10pm | Saturdays 10am-10pm | Sundays 1pm-dark

Location: Tazewell

The Crab Orchard Corn Maze and Pisgah Pumpkin Patch is a treasure-trove of Appalachian cultural heritage. Each year, the organizers of the museum plan a historically-themed and educational corn maze and this year’s theme is “Bee Amazed,” featuring a design of two honey bees, honey comb and an apple!

Ready for a drive-in movie to kick off spooky season? Entry and popcorn are free for a Halloween favorite, in Graham Rec Park in Bluefield, Virginia, for a showing of a seasonal favorite, HalloweenTown.

Oktobrewfest | 5 -10pm

Location: Main Street Tazewell

On the first of October community members and visitors alike will gather on Main Street to celebrate the craft beer industry in southwest Virginia. Oktobrewfest is an annual craft beer festival featuring live music and offerings from local artisans.

Halloween Paint Party | 6pm

Location: North Tazewell 

You can never have enough Halloween decor. Now, you can try your hand at making your own spooky items at Leather, Lace, & Southern Grace’s Halloween-themed painting party! Choose one of two ceramic pieces to paint for $30 each or, if you’re feeling extra festive, paint both for $55.

Haunted Hayride | 6:30-10pm

Location: Bluefield

Hayrides are a fall-must, and this Halloween Haunted Hayride at Graham Rec Park is not one to miss! This unique halloween attraction features costumed characters and spooks around each winding curve.

Pet Costume Contest | 2pm

Location: North Tazewell 

Who doesn’t love a costume party? Now add furry friends into the mix and don’t miss this Pet Costume Contest, held by Tessa’s Precious Paws Salon in North Tazewell.

Fincastle Halloween Party | 5-7pm

Location: Bluefield

A Halloween Party full of kid friendly fun will be thrown in the Banquet Room at Fincastle this Saturday evening. Don’t miss out on these spooktacular activities!

Monday, October 31, 2022 

Trunk or Treat | 6-9pm

Location: Tazewell

Finish out your spooky season back in downtown Tazewell on October 31st for Trunk or Treating! The festivities begin at 3 p.m. with pumpkin carving and face painting to give the kiddos the best Halloween experience possible!
